Program Summary

The purpose of this program is to help non native English speakers develop a long-term career in the metal industry. Applicants meeting eligibility requirements receive information about Oregon's metal industry, vocational training information, job search assistance, job retention, and career development services.

Established Employment Services (EES)

Program Summary

Established Employment Services (EES) provides employment services for adult refugees and entrants who are in need of full and part time employment and who are not currently eligible for any new arrival employment service projects. The thrust of EES activities is directed towards placement of participants into jobs with long-term potential for stability, growth and economic self-sufficiency. Project services shall be available to eligible Oregon residents of Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Marion Counties.

New Arrivals Employment Services (NAES)

Program Summary

NAES employment services are available to newly arrived refugees and asylees, and Cuban and Haitian parolees. Eligible program participants must also have been in the United States for no more than 12 months, reside in Multnomah, Clackamas or Washington counties, and be between the ages of 16 and 64.
